Abstract

Este trabalho objetivou analisar, por meio do Teste Qui-quadrado, as diferenças salariais por cor (brancos e não brancos) no mercado de trabalho da Região Sul do Brasil, no ano de 2002. Como corolário, foi verificada a existência de diferenças salariais dos trabalhadores envolvidos no mercado de trabalho, em que os efeitos de interação social refletem diretamente nos salários dos indivíduos, constatando, assim, fatores de discriminação e/ou preconceito salarial por cor. À guisa desta conclusão, faz-se mister a ação pública que possibilite a inserção no mercado de trabalho em condições mais justas. ---------------------------------------------------------------- This work intends to analyze, using the Square-qui Test, the salary differences for skin color (white and not white) in the job market of South area in Brazil, for the year of 2002. As a result, it was verified the existence of the workers' salary differences in the job market, in which the effects of social interaction reach directly in the individuals' wages, verifying discrimination factors and/or salary prejudice for skin color. With this conclusion, it is necessary the public action that make it possible the insertion in the job market of fairy conditions.
