Abstract

Todas as praças apresentaram relação de causalidade com o Triângulo Mineiro e Goiânia.-------------------------------The necessity of information for the decision taking has attributed important paper to the analyses of prices behavior between the main producing regions of cattle. Thus, the producers that obtain to follow the quotations in the different places can be anticipated to the behavior of the market, getting resulted more expressive in its activity. In this context, the main objective was to identify the relation of causality between fat cattle prices in different regions of Brazil. With this purpose, has been used the Johansen cointegration test and the Granger causality test with the use of the actual values of fat cattle in the following places: BM&F, Campo Grande/MS, Cuiabá/MT, Goiânia/GO and Triângulo Mineiro/MG. It was identified that all the analyzed series had presented not stationary and, therefore, was carried through the cointegration test, about concluded that all the regions had demonstrated relation of cointegration. The results of the causality test had shown that, in a generalized manner, it had bi-causality between all the analyzed variable. It was verified exist a relation of Granger causality between Campo Grande/MS and BM&F with the too much regions. So this, all the places had presented relation of causality with the Triângulo Mineiro and Goiânia.
