Abstract

-------------------------------------------------- The transhipment model of linear programming in this paper is used to consider simultaneously the cost of shipping raw materials and the final product. The problem concerns the location of Mato Grosso cattle slaughtering plans given the possible locations, number and size of slaughtering plans, quantity of slaughter animals and the final beef demand. An inference process is used to obtaining the transfer costs, this process are development to building two scenarios. The first is considering a low high-distances cattle-transfer-cost and the second is a expensive high-distances cattle –transfer-cost. In the first scenario the slaughtering plans are indicated for seventeen regions, the transfers industry are moved to amazons agriculture’s new frontier, with plants of varying scale. In the second scenario is a all-regions dressing-beef-house’s with a small varying of scale.
