Agricultura Familiar E Sustentabilidade: Um Estudo De Caso Nos Núcleos Rurais Da Bacia Hidrográfica Do Ribeirão Pipiripau/Df

Abstract

A degradação ambiental, originária do modelo de civilização que a humanidade adotou, constitui-se em um dos mais graves problemas da civilização moderna e, o setor agropecuário está sendo considerado, um dos principais fatores dessa degradação. Nesse contexto, o presente trabalho pretendeu dar uma contribuição ao debate sobre modelos sustentáveis de produção agropecuária no âmbito da bacia hidrográfica do ribeirão Pipiripau. Essa bacia está inserida no Distrito Federal e no estado de Goiás e, a atividade predominante no âmbito da bacia é a agricultura, especificamente, no segmento da agricultura familiar. Pesquisas feitas nessa área revelam que, o modelo de exploração adotado nessa localidade não é sustentável do ponto de vista ambiental. Nesse sentido, procurou-se analisar o modelo predominante e discutir formas alternativas de exploração agropecuária de caráter mais sustentável, que podem ser adotadas na localidade. --------------------------------------------The environmental degradation consequence of the civilization model that the humanity adopted, is constituted one of the most serious problems of the modern civilization and the agricultural section is being considered one of the main factors of that degradation. In this context, this paper intents to make a contribution to the debate on maintainable models of agricultural production in the watershed of the Pipiripau River. This basin is inserted in the Federal District and in the state of Goiás and its predominant activity is agriculture, pecifically, small scale family organized agriculture. Surveys in this area reveals that the exploration model adopted is not sustainable in an environmental point of view. That is why this model was analyze in order to discuss alternative more sustainable forms of agricultural exploration that can be adopted in the Basin. The paper is divided in four chapters that discuss the following themes: Water Resources, Agriculture and Sustainability; Physical and socioeconomic characterization of the Pipiripau's Basin; The rural settlements in Pipiripau watershed (basin); Some considerations on social Participation in the context of sustainable Development and analysis of the survey.
