Índice De Desenvolvimento Familiar-Rural: Uma Aplicação Da Estatística Multivariada

Abstract

Qual o nível de desenvolvimento rural familiar nos pólos agroflorestais Geraldo Mesquita, Hélio Pimenta e Custódio Freire do Estado do Acre? Esta questão é o móvel do presente artigo que propõe uma abordagem metodológica alternativa para a construção do Índice de Desenvolvimento Familiar–Rural (IDF-R), um índice-síntese desagregado por Unidade de Produção Familiar optando pela atribuição de pesos na construção das dimensões que constituirão o índice. A metodologia apresentou-se eficaz para o (re)direcionamento de políticas públicas atuando nas áreas em que, ao mesmo tempo, são mais deficitárias e também mais estratégicas em termos de resultados práticos. Os resultados apontados no artigo referem-se a 113 unidades de produção familiar (UPF), sendo 17 (dezessete) do Pólo de hortaliças Custódio Freire, 37 (trinta e sete) no Pólo Agroflorestal Hélio Pimenta e 59 (cinqüenta e nove) no Pólo Agroflorestal Geraldo Gurgel de Mesquita.
