O Comportamento Da População Rural E Do Emprego Na Agricultura No Estado De Mato Grosso Do Sul, No Período De 1998 A 2006

Abstract

A agricultura brasileira vem sofrendo grandes transformações com relação à mecanização das atividades agrícolas e, conseqüentemente, vem afetando o nível de empregos no setor rural, considerando que estas transformações se intensificaram recentemente, devido a um processo crescente de urbanização, de forma tal que a pressão modernizadora na agricultura se responsabilizou pela eliminação de postos de trabalhos agrícolas e que se traduz pela criação de empregos/ocupações não-agrícolas no setor. O objetivo deste artigo é analisar o comportamento da população rural e do emprego na agricultura no estado de Mato Grosso do Sul, especificamente as atividades agrícolas e não-agrícolas, dando ênfase à questão do novo rural, no período de 1998 a 2006. Conforme os dados coletados pela pesquisa nacional por amostra de domicílio (PNADs), no período de 1998/2006 no estado de Mato Grosso do Sul, as atividades agrícolas e não-agrícolas , vêm assumido um papel de destaque em áreas rurais tão contrastantes do ponto de vista do cenário agrícola. Os resultados mostraram que, a população agrícola apresentou um decréscimo no período de 1998/2002 e um pequeno acréscimo no período de 2002/2006, com a recuperação do setor agrícola no estado. Entretanto, a população não-agrícola teve um crescimento superior à da população agrícola, em ambos os períodos analisados, bem como ao longo dos anos de 1998/2006. Observou-se, que as atividades agrícolas sofreram uma queda de 1,56 % ao ano, enquanto que as atividades não-agrícolas apresentaram um acentuado avanço, crescendo 4,49% ao ano, confirmando as tendências de evolução das ocupações não-agrícolas no estado de Mato Grosso do Sul.----------------------------------------------The Brazilian agriculture is suffering great transformations regarding the mechanization of the agricultural activities, and, consequently, be affect the level of jobs in the rural sector, it thinking that these transformations intensified recently, due to a growing process of urbanization, of such form that the pressure modern in the agriculture took responsibility for the elimination of posts of agricultural works and that it is translated by the creation of non-agricultural jobs / occupations in the sector. The objective of this article is to analyse behaviour of the rural population and of the job in the agriculture in the state of Mato Grosso of the South, specifically the agricultural and non-agricultural activities, when the rural again is giving emphasis to the question, in the period from 1998 to 2006. According to the data collected by the national inquiry by sample of residence (PNADs), in the period of 1998/2006 in the state of Mato Grosso of the South, the agricultural and non-agricultural activities, they are assumed a paper of distinction in rural areas so contrasting of the point of view of the agricultural scenery. The results showed that, the agricultural population presented a decrease in the period of 1998/2002 and a small addition in the period of 2002/2006 with the recuperation of the agricultural sector in the state. Meantime, the non-agricultural population had a growth superior to that of the agricultural population, in both analysed periods, as well as along the years of 1998/2006. It was noticed that the agricultural activities suffered a fall of 1,56 % to the year, whereas the non-agricultural activities presented an accented advancement, growing 4,49 % to the year, confirming the tendencies of evolution of the non-agricultural occupations in the state of Mato Grosso of the South.
