Abstract

-----------------------------------------------------The article highlights the changes in paranaense agriculture from the process of integration of regional economies in Brazil. Emphasis falls on changes in the production structure of agriculture in the state economy. The paper outlines some of the most remarkable features of Parana agricultural development from the middle of the eighties of the last century and extends to the present. Works with the hypothesis that Parana’s economic development results of, on the one hand, public policies for regional development, mainly credit policy, it is seen that a first time contributed to the expansion of the state economy and the development of potencializaram their agriculture, and the other, that from the mid-eighties, their agriculture continued maintaining the trend observed in the seventies, modernising itself, concentrating areas and shifting cultures, but not comptait more with public policy to stimulate the sector.
