Mudanças No Padrão Tecnológico Do Corte De Cana-De-Açúcar: Uma Análise Do Caso Paranaense

Abstract

Este artigo tem como objetivo fazer uma análise acerca das causas da adoção do padrão tecnológico da colheita mecanizada no setor sucroalcooleiro do Paraná, sob a ótica na Nova Economia Institucional e mediante pesquisa de campo (via entrevistas). Como resultado, tem-se que a mecanização da colheita de cana-de-açúcar no Paraná vem sendo adotada por pressões competitivas de mercado e induzida pela conjugação de vários fatores: escassez de mão-de-obra no Estado; pressões ambientais e de mercados; mudança do padrão tecnológico e de custos imputado por São Paulo, líder do setor.---------------------------------------------The article has a purpose to do an analysis about the causes of the adoption at the technological standard of the harvest mechanized in sugar and alcohol sector of Paraná State, upon the optic at the New Institutional Economy and using field research (with interviews). As result, it is had that the mechanization of the harvest of sugar cane in the Paraná comes being adopted for competitive pressures of market and induced for the mix of some factors: few workers in the State; ambient pressures and of markets; change of the technological standard and costs imputed by the São Paulo State, leader of the sector.
