Abstract

Uma das maiores preocupações com o desenvolvimento regional na Amazônia tem sido a utilização desorganizada e desprovida dos cuidados com a sustentabilidade ambiental, social e econômica dos empreendimentos que utilizam seus recursos naturais para a geração de emprego e renda na região. Muito tem sido discutido em relação ao modelo de desenvolvimento regional que leve não somente a geração de emprego e renda na região, mas também que seja capaz de possibilitar a sustentabilidade ambiental com o mínimo de impactos indesejáveis sobre esse ecossistema. A abordagem dos Arranjos Produtivos Locais (APLs) pode representar um instrumento da maior importância em apoio ao desenvolvimento regional com a possibilidade de mostrar caminhos que possibilitem o fortalecimento de APLs em pontos estratégicos da Amazônia, contribuindo fortemente para o desenvolvimento sustentável da região. Este artigo apresenta as iniciativas de pesquisa, financiadas pelo CNPq em apoiar as ações governamentais na identificação de possibilidades de desenvolvimento local fundamentado em pesquisas junto à base produtiva da indústria madeireira no estado do Acre. Embora o estudo não apresente dados conclusivos, os dados obtidos até este momento, apresentam indicativos importantes na busca de formulação de políticas públicas em apoio ao fortalecimento e consolidação do APL de produtos madeireiros no Acre.--------------One of the largest concerns with the regional development in Amazon has been the disorganized use and lacking the cares with the environmental, social and economic sustainability of the enterprises that use its natural resources for the employment generation and income in the area. A lot it has been discussed in relation to the model of regional development that takes not only the employment generation and income in the area, but also that is capable to facilitate the environmental sustainability with the minimum of undesirable impacts on that ecosystem. The approach of the Local Productive Arrangements (APLs), it can represent an instrument of the largest importance in support to the regional development with the possibility of showing roads that facilitate the invigoration of APLs in strategic points of Amazon, contributing strongly to the maintainable development of the area. This article presents the research initiatives, financed by CNPq in supporting the government actions in the identification of possibilities of local development based close to in researches productive base of the industry timber in the state of Acre. Although the study doesn't present conclusive data, the data obtained even this moment, present indicative important in the search of formulation of public politics in support to the invigoration and consolidation of the products lumbermen's APL in Acre.
