Mudancas cambiais e o efeito dos fatores de crescimento das receitas de exportacoes brasileiras de soja

A expansão da produção algodoeira no Brasil ocorrida no final da década de 90 fez com que o país deixasse de ser importador da pluma do algodão para a indústria, passando a exportar a malvácea, fazendo com que entrasse para o mercado internacional como um grande produtor. O presente artigo trata da expansão das receitas das exportações de algodão através da análise dos efeitos da taxa de câmbio, da quantidade exportada e do preço internacional do produto, no período de 1994 a 2006. A análise foi feita pelo método shift-share, através do qual se examina o efeito isolado de cada uma das variáveis estudadas sobre a receita do final do ano. Os resultados mostram que a quantidade exportada mostrou-se crescente por quase todo o período apesar da condição de baixa dos preços internacionais e as distintas políticas cambiais impostas pelo governo desde a implementação do Plano Real, em 1994, as quais se mostraram determinantes para a elevação das receitas e da quantidade exportada de algodão.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The expansion of cotton production in Brazil occurred at the end of the decade of 90 has caused the country no longer be the feather importer of cotton for the industry, going to export the malvácea, making entry to the international market as a major producer. This article deals with the expansion of revenues from exports of cotton through the analysis of the effects of the exchange rate, the quantity exported in the international price of the product in the period from 1994 to 2006. The analysis was done by shift-share method, through which it examines the effect of each of the isolated variables on the revenue the end of the year. The results show that the quantity exported proved to be growing by almost the entire period despite the condition of low international prices and the different exchange rate policies imposed by the government since the implementation of the Real Plan in 1994, which were crucial for the elevation revenue and the quantity of exported cotton.
