Abstract
The objective of this research was to compare the growth rate of Litopenaeus vannamei and the fluctuations of the physical, chemical and biological parameters (oxygen, pH, temperature, salinity, turbidity and phytoplankton) in two ponds, in the shrimp farm Playa Hermosa. The ponds that were selected for the study were pond 1 and 2 of the shrimp farm, where it was started on day 57 of culture when the organisms weighed 6.83 g for pond 1 and 5.02 g for pond 2. During 8 weeks, an N = 100 was taken for the weighing of the organisms that were captured from different points of the pond, which were provided by the technician in charge of the farm, to then perform the individual weighing on a gramera scale. The physical and chemical parameters were measured in the morning 10:00 am and in the afternoon 5:00 pm, of which only the turbidity value was taken at 12:00 pm, as well as the water samples for the counting of phytoplankton. Culminating with the 8 weeks of study, a final weight of 14.34 g was obtained for pond 1 and 10.95 g for pond 2. All the weights obtained in the 8 weeks were evaluated in a one-way ANOVA analysis, where it was observed that the organisms of pond 1 always obtained a significant difference in weekly weights, compared to pond 2, which in week 4-5 did not there was a significant difference in shrimp growth. Significant correlations (P <0.05) of pH, temperature, Salinity and phytoplankton parameters were observed between the two ponds, not observed in the parameters Oxygen and Turbidity.
