Abstract

Points saillants -Les chocs climatiques font varier les récoltes céréalières, ainsi que les prix agricoles -Les prix saisonniers résument l’information accumulée des acteurs qui interviennent dans le marché et qui connaissent mieux la situation actuelle de l’offre nationale, notamment les producteurs et les commerçants. -L’Observatoire du Marché Agricole (OMA) fait la collecte hebdomadaire des prix sur 35 marchés agricoles au Mali. -Les prix observés en début de la campagne de commercialisation permettent de prédire la production nationale. -Le suivi des prix alimentaires reste une ressource précieuse pour les décideurs chargés d’assurer la sécurité alimentaire nationale. -Ce bulletin démontre comment utiliser un modèle économique de simulation pour estimer la récolte attendue à travers les prix en début de la campagne de commercialisation.
