Abstract

The mission aimed at evaluating cereal markets in order to inform and advise decision- makers. The mission noted a drop in the price of rice in the region of the Office du Niger due to the increase in the off-season cultivated acreages and the adequate supply of fertilizers to the region. Similarly, the price of coarse grains also dropped in major areas of their production. However, producers and traders face the challenge of storage for a long period. Consequently, it is recommended to reinforce the capacity of storage of private traders.
