Abstract

The Polish food economy in the first years of EU membership. The impact of the European Union structural funds on rural development in the first years of membership. The general concept of rural development support from structural funds and the Cohesion Fund in 2007-2013. The monitoring and analysis of changes in the Polish food chain. The place of Polish agriculture in the global food market. Polish agricultural holdings in the first years of membership. Regional diversity in agricultural development and its effect on economic and social problems in rural areas. The standard gross margin account for selected agricultural products and the classification of agricultural holdings according to the European Union rules.
