Die Teilnahmebereitschaft deutscher Landwirte an der Initiative Tierwohl - Wodurch wird sie beeinflusst?

Abstract

Die Nutztierhaltung wird zunehmend kontrovers diskutiert. Anlässlich dieser Entwicklung wurde 2015 die Initiative Tierwohl durch Vertreter des Lebensmitteleinzelhandels auf den Plan gerufen. Das Teilnahmeverhalten von Landwirten an solchen Programmen stellt diesbezüglich ein wichtiges Forschungsfeld dar. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden die Einflüsse, welche auf die Teilnahmebereitschaft deutscher Sauenhalter an der Initiative Tierwohl einwirken, mittels einer Faktoren- und einer binär logistischen Regressionsanalyse ermittelt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass insbesondere die Berücksichtigung der Bedürfnisse teilnehmender Landwirte, ein positives Kosten-Nutzen Verhältnis, die erleichternde Umsetzung von Kriterien durch passende Rahmenbedingungen auf dem Betrieb sowie Stress durch Kontrollen auf eine höhere Teilnahmewahrscheinlichkeit hinweisen.
