Engagement von Unternehmen in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit im Rahmen der Corporate Governance – Motive und Ausprägungen

Abstract

Der Beitrag beinhaltet die Auswertung einer Unternehmensbefragung zum Engagement der hessischen Wirtschaft in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit, die im Zeitraum Juli / August 2011 durchgeführt wurde. Im Rahmen dieser Untersuchung wurden wesentliche Aspekte der Aktivitäten der hessischen Unternehmen in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit erörtert. Hinsichtlich einzelner Motive des Engagements kommt offenbar dem aus den betreffenden Aktivitäten erzielbaren wirtschaftlichen Erfolg eine vergleichsweise hohe Priorität zu. Von Bedeutung ist ferner die Unterstützung von ortsansässigen Akteuren, so beispielsweise von Zulieferern oder Abnehmern. Regionale Schwerpunkte der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit liegen in China, Indien und Brasilien, in den ärmsten Ländern dieser Erde finden hingegen nur in geringem Maße derartige Aktivitäten statt.
