Abstract

Excerpts from the report: This is the second of the series of indexes or source books of agricultural statistics which is in progress. This index for Oklahoma is issued in cooperation with the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College, the work of compilation being done by Icelle E. Wright, Assistant Librarian of that college. State official sources of agricultural statistics have been indexed in so far as these sources were available in the libraries of the U. S. Department of Agriculture, the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College, the Oklahoma Agricultural Experiment Station, the Oklahoma Historical Society, the University of Oklahoma, the Carnegie Library, Oklahoma City, and the Library of Congress. With the exception of certain publications of the U. S. Bureau of Census and a bulletin of the U. S. Geological Survey, which deal wholly with Oklahoma or the Indian Territory, no Federal publications have been indexed. Publications issued by private and commercial agencies have not been indexed but an annotated List of the Unofficial Sources of Oklahoma Agricultural Statistics compiled by Margaret Walters, Reference Librarian of the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College, has been included as a supplement to the Official Sources.
