Abstract

Excerpts from the Foreword: This bibliography is supplementary to World Food Supply; A Selected Bibliography published in June 1925 as Bibliographical Contributions No. 9 of the Library of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The outbreak of the European War in September 1939 created a demand for recent references on the world's supply of foodstuffs and raw materials. This bibliography is arranged geographically: first, references on the world subdivided under general, economic geography, grain, nutrition, oils and fats, raw materials, and sugar; then alphabetically by continent, in most cases subdivided by country. The references under Germany, Great Britain and the United States are further subdivided by subject.
