Abstract

Report Foreword: This list supersedes a typewritten list with the same title dated December 1, 1937. Its purpose is to include references to publications in English on the concept of income and on methods of obtaining statistics of income. References to definitions of income have been included wherever found, but an exhaustive search has not been made in the related subjects of capital, wealth and profits nor in the general fields of economics and income taxation. References to publications on the distribution of income, analysis of income, family income and its relation to standard of living, and to purely statistical compilations have been omitted, except to a few publications which contain sections falling within the scope of this list. References to publications in foreign languages have not been included, but references to English abstracts of foreign publications have been included.
