Abstract

Excerpts from the Introduction: This bibliography consists of references to books, bulletins, and pamphlets dealing with the economic aspects of the strawberry industry in the United States. Periodical articles, as a rule, have been omitted. Some general references on the marketing of fruit which give statistics on strawberries have been included, but no attempt has been made to include them all. Although, as a rule, material on the culture and varieties of the strawberry has been omitted, the bibliography includes occasional references to such publications when they have been found to contain statistical data. Certain publications of the U. S. Department of Agriculture, U. S. Department of Commerce, and the U. S. Bureau of the Census have been described in detail as to what they contain on strawberries. In some cases complete files have been described, in others only the latest volume, or those volumes which contain a series of figures over a period of years.
