Evaluation Of Mango Rootstocks For Yield Efficiency Of 'Parvin' And 'Tommy Atkins' Varieties

Abstract

Se realizô un estudio en la Subestacion Experimental Agricole de Fortuna para determinar el efecto de la combinaciôn injerto-patrôn sobre el tamano de los ârboles, el rendimiento y la eficiencia de rendimiento en las variedades comerciales de mango {Mangifera indica L.) TParvin' y 'Tommy Atkins'. Los patrones fueron ΈΜοη', 'Cubano', 'Malda', 'Julie' y un control, 'Colombo Kidney'. Se usé un experimento factorial en parcela dividida sobre tiempo con parcelas complétas arregladas en très bloques completos aleatorizados. Se registraron datos de nûmero y peso de frutas cosechadas de 1995, cuando los ârboles tuvieron 8 anos de edad, a 1998. ΈΜοη' fue enanizante para ambas variedades Parvin' y Tommy Atkins' mientras que el patron "Malda' solo redujo el tamano de la variedad Tommy Atkins'. Las combinaciones enanizantes dieron rendimientos mâs bajos, pero relacionando el rendimiento con el tamano de los ârboles, los patrones no difirieron para el eficiencia de rendimiento. Parvin' tuvo tamano del ârbol, rendimiento y eficiencia de rendimiento mayores que Tommy Atkins'. *Eldon' fue el mejor patron para ambas variedades Parvin' y Tommy Atkins' mientras que 'Malda' fue bueno solo para la variedad 'Tommy Atkins'.
