Hongos Entomopatogenos De Plutelia Xylosteija (L.) (Lepidoptera: Plutellidae) En Puerto Rico

Abstract

Se realizaron varios catastros en siembras establecidas de repollo intercalado con brécol para determinar la presencia de hongos endémicos que afecten las larvas y pupas de Plutella xylostella en Puerto Rico. Para esto se establecieron dos siembras de repollo intercalado con brécol en la Subestaciôn Experimental Agricola de Isabela de enero a mayo 1994 y diciembre 1994 a marzo 1995. El porcentaje de larvas y pupas de apariencia enferma fue de 2.6% en repollo y 1.78% en brécol. De este porcentaje se encontrô que el 64% en repollo y 69% en brécol estaban asociados con hongos. Se aislaron los hongos Paecilomyces fumosoroseus, P. farinosus, Metarhizium anisopliae, Fusarium proliferatum, F. pallidoroseum, F. oxysporum, F. solani, Pénicillium pinophilnm, Gliocladium catenulatum y Cladosporium tenuissimum asociados a las larvas y pupas muertas.
