Influence de trois nématodes phytoparasites sur le bananier Musa acuminata : synthèse et perspectives

Abstract

Une étude de la pathologie du bananier Musa acuminata due aux nématodes Radopholus similis, Helicotylenchus multicinctus et Hoplolaimus pararobustus a été menée en Côte d'Ivoire. La pathologie a été étudiée sur les variétés Poyo (sous-groupe Cavendish) et Gros Michel (sous-groupe Gros Michel). Le développement des populations des nématodes et leur incidence sur la croissance des bananiers et sur deux fonctions du métabolisme (absorption minérale et organique, et photosynthèse) et certains aspects du métabolisme phénolique intervenant en réaction au parasitisme ont été étudiés. La relation hôteparasite est spécifique de chacune de ses deux composantes : la variété Gros Michel est moins sensible à R. similis que la variété Poyo, et le comportement variétal vis à vis d'H. multicinctus et H. pararobustus est identique entre les deux variétés. La sensibilité est liée à la compatibilité physiologique entre l'hôte et le parasite: après infestation par R. similis, la variété Gros Michel renforce son métabolisme phénolique, alors qu'aucune des deux variétés ne réagit, ou très brièvement, à H. multicinctus et H. pararobustus.
