Residuos De Plaguicidas En Cultivos Tropicales

Abstract

Investigadores del Departamento de Protección de Cultivos, Estación Experimental Agrícola, establecieron pruebas de campo para evaluar la efectividad de nuevos plaguicidas y proveer muestras de cultivos para análisis de residuos de plaguicidas. De dichas pruebas experimentales se tomaron muestras al azar de cultivos tales como caña de azúcar, yautia, ñame, yuca, gandules y acerolas para determinar los niveles de residuos de varios plaguicidas. El Laboratorio de Plaguicidas de la Estación Experimental Agrícola, el Laboratorio Regional del Proyecto IR-4 en Gainesville, Flori~a, y otros colaboraron en la determinación de residuos de los plaguicidas Acephate, Paraquat, Ametryn, Benomyl y Permethrin en los cultivos mencionados. La determinación de residuos comprendió las fases de extracción, limpieza y detección por métodos espectrofotométricos y cromatografía de gases. Los datos de efectividad y de residuos se utilizan para la obtención de la tolerancia y etiqueta de dichos plaguicidas en los cultivos tropicales.
