Sefit: Una Estrategia Para La Implementaciôn De Los Resultados Cientîficos En La Producciôn Canera De Cuba

Abstract

El Servicio Fitosanitario, SEFIT, se fundamenta en la implantation de un sistema metodolôgico para la evaluation y el control de las plagas de la cana de azùcar, basado en la interrelation participativa investigador-productor. En el presente trabajo, los autores discuten el papel del SEFIT en la introducciôn y extension de los resultados cientificos a través de la capacitaciôn técnica de los fitosanitarios azucareros. Mediante talleres, seminarios y clases prâcticas, el SEFIT proporciona a los productores, las metodologias para la evaluaciôn fitosanitaria, y el manejo de los agentes de lucha biolôgica para el control de los insectos, plagas y roedores. Ademâs el SEFIT cuenta con un sistema automatizado que analiza la base de datos elaborada por los productores en las empresas carieras cubanas y permite a los investigadores ofrecer recomendaciones para la toma de decisiones técnico-econômicas.
