Sécurité alimentaire et défis du changement climatique en Tunisie

Abstract

Bien que la sécurité alimentaire se soit progressivement améliorée en Tunisie, il n’en demeure pas moins important de rappeler que la situation reste fragile. Quelques facteurs menacent la stabilité de la sécurité alimentaire dans ces différentes dimensions. Le changement climatique, à travers son impact négatif sur les rendements et la production des principales cultures ne peut qu’accroitre ces vulnérabilités et en particulier renforcer la dépendance du pays du marché alimentaire mondial. Par ailleurs, au-delà des aspects, largement abordés par ailleurs, qui se réfèrent à la technologie, à la promotion des pratiques agroécologique ou encore aux reformes institutionnels, assurer la sécurité dans un contexte de changement climatique implique une réhabilitation de l’agriculture familiale, une réorientation de la politique agricole vers les produits stratégiques et une reconnexion avec la diète méditerranéenne.
