Tendencias recientes de la pobreza multidimensional en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires

Abstract

El enfoque de la pobreza multidimensional es una medida complementaria a la pobreza monetaria que busca entender cómo diferentes aspectos de la vida de las personas impactan en el bienestar. Utilizamos la Encuesta Anual de Hogares de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires para medir las carencias de los hogares en cuatro dimensiones: habitacional, salud, educación y empleo. El índice de pobreza multidimensional es cinco veces más alto en el Sur de lo que es el norte y el doble con respecto al Centro-Oeste y Este de la Ciudad. Por otro lado, los indicadores de salud, empleo y nivel educativo alcanzado son los que mayor poder explicativo tienen sobre la pobreza multidimensional.
