Impacto de choques transitorios y de largo plazo en el PIB e Inflación de Bolivia: Un modelo de vectores autorregresivos estructurales

Abstract

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo estimar el impacto de los choques estructurales de corto y largo plazo en el Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) y en los precios en Bolivia. La metodología utilizada fue de vectores autorregresivos estructurales con datos del Instituto Nacional de Estadística. Los resultados muestran que los choques de oferta generan un impacto positivo de largo plazo sobre el PIB de la economía, y una caída en el nivel de precios; mientras que los choques de demanda sobre el PIB y los precios en Bolivia son negativos. Además se encuentra que las crisis política, subprime y de los commodities han tenido un impacto negativo sobre el crecimiento del PIB.
