Abstract

This paper examines the accessibility of websites for metal festivals in Germany, focusing on their usability for individuals with disabilities. The study aims to identify and highlight existing barriers that hinder access to information and services provided by these festival websites. A theoretical framework is established by defining relevant concepts such as accessibility, web design, and the current state of research in this field. An empirical investigation is conducted, analyzing various festival websites to assess their compliance with accessibility standards. The findings reveal significant shortcomings, including the absence of proper heading structures and navigation issues that affect users relying on assistive technologies. The conclusion summarizes the research findings, answers the central research question, and offers insights into future research opportunities within the realm of festival website accessibility.
