Utjecaj Europskog sustava trgovanja emisijama na regulirana poduzeća u Hrvatskoj

Abstract

Kako bi postigla svoje klimatske ciljeve, Europska unija (EU) 2005. godine uspostavlja tzv. Europski sustav trgovanja emisijama (EU ETS), kojem Hrvatska pristupa svojim ulaskom u EU. Cilj ovoga rada jest utvrditi utjecaj uvođenja EU ETS-a 2013. godine na performanse hrvatskih poduzeća. U radu se, korištenjem dinamičke panel analize te analize prosječnog učinka tretmana na regulirana poduzeća, na podatcima za razdoblje od 2008. do 2016. godine, istražuje utjecaj EU ETS-a na prihode i profite reguliranih poduzeća u Hrvatskoj. Rezultati analize robusno pokazuju da je regulacija u prve tri godine provođenja u Hrvatskoj u prosjeku imala značajan negativan učinak na prihode reguliranih poduzeća. Zaključci o učinku EU ETS-a na profite nisu robusni. Dinamička panel analiza robusno sugerira nepostojanje značajnog učinka EU ETS-a na profite. S druge strane, rezultati analize prosječnog učinka tretmana pokazuju negativan učinak EU ETS-a na profitne marže, ali i neodređen učinak na EBIT marže reguliranih poduzeća u Hrvatskoj.
