Utjecaj razvijenosti financijskog sustava na gospodarski rast u Republici Hrvatskoj

Abstract

U radu se namjerava istražiti utjecaj razvijenosti financijskog sustava na gospodarski rast u maloj otvorenoj ekonomiji kao što je Hrvatska. Povoljna kretanja na svjetskim financijskim tržištima omogućila su jeftin pristup svježem kapitalu koji je korišten za financiranje domaće potražnje i tako poticao gospodarski rast. U radu se, stoga, testira hipoteza da financijski razvoj pozitivno utječe na gospodarski rast Hrvatske. Za indikatore financijskog razvoja upotrebljavaju se likvidna pasiva, krediti privatnom sektoru, ukupni krediti nefinancijskom sektoru (sve u BDP-u), te razlika kamatne stope na kunske kredite sa valutnom klauzulom i deviznih depozita. Analiza je u svim slučajevima (osim kad se primjenjuje likvidna pasiva kao indikator financijskog razvoja) potvrdila da razvoj financijskih posrednika pozitivno utječe na gospodarski rast. Utjecaj aktivnosti na tržištima kapitala na gospodarski rast nije se razmatrao jer su tržišta kapitala u Hrvatskoj relativno nerazvijena.
