Teritorijalni ustroj u funkciji razvoja gospodarstva

Abstract

U radu se naglašava važnost teritorijalnog ustroja sa ciljem poticanja na sveukupno kritičko promišljanje o njegovoj funkcionalnosti u sustavu gospodarskog razvoja Republike Hrvatske i njenih regija. Analizira se postojeći teritorijalni ustroj Hrvatske s obzirom na njenu podijeljenost na 21 županiju, 126 gradova i 429 općina. Prikazuje se važnost teritorijalnog ustroja na funkcioniranje kako cijele države tako i njenih jedinica lokalne i regionalne samouprave, a s obzirom na rješavanje gospodarskih problema na nacionalnoj razini, povlačenje sredstava iz EU fondova i utjecaja na ravnomjerniji regionalni razvoj. U radu se analizira i teritorijalni ustroj članica Europske unije te se prikazuju tendencije promjena (uglavnom smanjenja) broja lokalnih jedinica u većini razvijenijih članica. U zadnjem dijelu rada daje se prijedlog novog administrativno-teritorijalnog ustroja Hrvatske uz ciljeve funkcionalnijeg teritorijalnog ustroja Hrvatske.
