Abstract

This research discusses the main threats to technological security and technological sovereignty and trends to overcome them. The authors examine threats to Russia’s technological security and technological sovereignty, provide an overview of the opinions of Russian and foreign researchers, and analyze the current situation in terms of political tension in the world, the global political and economic crisis, and the impact of anti-Russian sanctions. The scientific discussion on technological security encompasses various aspects, including definitions, properties, and characteristics specific to Russia. Threats to Russia’s technological security are analyzed within the context of ongoing dynamics, with key trends identified. These include a significant innovation gap compared to technologically leading countries, along with the underlying reasons for this gap, such as insufficient investment in innovation, inadequate funding, and a shortage of qualified personnel. The authors analyzed measures developed by the Russian Government and made additional recommendations.
