Abstract

This research studies the dialectics of the objective and the subjective factors in the process of forming the existence of social space. The authors believe that the concept of the existence of space concretizes the paradigm of existential sociology. The research result is, first, the introduction of the concept of existential social space into scientific circulation. In this concept, due to the presence of negative socio-psychological tension and the dominance of the “war of all against all” attitude, as well as the indifference of society to its members, such a society generates and intensifies frustration and existential tension in the minds of its representatives. Second, the research reveals the features of the existence of social time formed under the influence of the existence of space and manifests in the perception of an existential subject as slowing down, stopping, or speeding up time. Third, the research singles out the main levels of the existential space of society. Fourth, as a result of the research, the authors identified possible ways of mitigating the existence of the space of society and its actors. The methods of confusion of existence outlined by the authors are revealed based on the studies conducted by the authors of several countries regarding problems and contradictions in the area of education, the psychology of schoolchildren and universities, as well as on the author’s pedagogical experience. The literature used during the research and the peculiarities of the research problem required the use of hermeneutic, phenomenological methods, conceptual analysis, and system-structural, synergetic, and dialectical approaches widely used in contemporary epistemology.
