Abstract

In this part of the book, you have become acquainted with the upstream and downstream matrices in the Multiple Progression QFD system especially adapted to process-industrial product innovation. It is argued that future company product innovation of excellence must have a stronger focus on “cost innovation” in an overall price/performance product development perspective. Since in the process industries product costs are totally dependent on production process efficiency and the use of selected, adapted and optimized raw materials, the use of phase progression in the QFD methodology is strongly advised…
