Abstract

In Chapter 8, the above issue was identified as an important problem that a QFD system must address in process-industrial product innovation of excellence. If the company products are intended for consumers and B2C customers, the House of Quality is the final interface between the company and its end-users. However, there is usually also a chain of upstream suppliers of raw materials and ingredients to whom a progression of such Product Design Requirements from the House of Quality should be further progressed; this is referred to as a upstream multiple progression…
