Abstract

In the era of the Internet, it is an increasingly heated topic as to how the traditional manufacturing industry can survive and thrive. Red Collar Group, a traditional clothing manufacturing enterprise, through the deep integration of informatization and industrialization, successfully achieved the industrial production of personalized and customized high-end suits. In order to adapt to the new business model development, the Red Collar Group figured and improved the organization structure and production process. The study of this case shows that the Red Collar Group, utilizing the management theory of mixing and matching organizations, achieved organizational process reengineering. Taking node management as the core, it adopted a flat organization structure, which removes departmentalization and leadership as well as stratification, eliminating the contradiction between scale production and personalized customization and realizing the promise to deliver the finished products in 7 working days, which meets the clients’ needs of personalization at one go.
