Abstract

The following sections are included:The first systematic review of willingness to pay (WTP) of individuals or households for health insurance (HI) in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).The first-ever study attempting to express WTP estimates as a percentage of GDP per capita of the respective country or as a percentage of national net income per capita.Review of literature based on 16 studies (21 articles) from 10 countries.
