Start-Ups: Creative Concepts, Not High-Tech

Abstract

In my professional environment, a whole series of new companies has sprung up. They are start-ups trying to build on the foundation of a concept rather than following established wisdom. They start with simple, but well thought-out and well-developed ideas that require only limited financial resources. They are based on the advantages of a division of labor, if possible, creating an entrepreneurial concept out of existing components — principles that I will explain in greater detail in the chapters below. One can think of these new companies as a form of “experimental entrepreneurship” that challenges the common beliefs of how to establish a company by presenting practical alternatives.
