Abstract

In the previous chapter, when reviewing the historical similarities in the region, we observed what follows. Two brother European countries with a common background that underwent a similar process once in the Americas. Different indigenous people that were submitted to the same spiral of defeat, submission, servitude, conversion and massive human loss. African slaves that were captured in their own homelands and packed in filthy ships to be taken to the other side of the Atlantic, where they had to adapt to a new environment, a new language and a new religion…
