Abstract

Some 25 years have passed since the Indonesian haze (Indo haze) was first spotted. Subsequent episodes have caused widespread pollution not only in Indonesia but to other Association of Southeast Nations (ASEAN) member states, namely, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines and Thailand. The transboundary impact has resulted especially in economic losses and health risks. As for Indonesia, there have been serious disruption of the functioning of some of its communities, health issues and, more recently, loss of lives of its citizens, not to mention environmental losses…
