Abstract

During the Vietnam War, Jeff Stein, a US Army Intelligence Officer, controlled a network of Vietnamese spies. His rival during that time was General Tran Tien Cung who ran agents against him. Fifty years after the war, Stein made the journey back to Vietnam to finally meet Cung who was now very frail having suffered a stroke. Unanswered questions had accumulated in his head over the years but Stein was only permitted to ask one. After much thought and consideration he finally spoke and asked, “What was your greatest espionage triumph against us?”…
