Abstract

Eric stormed out of the room, clearly unhappy with the way his meeting had unfolded. He was attending the bank’s credit committee meeting to advocate for a credit line to one of his new clients, a local producer of heavy machinery. The committee declined to pursue the opportunity further. The credit manager vetoed it, justifying his decision by the company’s relatively small size and an uncertain industry outlook despite strong financials and a potentially high return for the bank…
