Abstract

To evaluate the efficiency of any system, a smart work monitoring system is required to ensure the accountability and reliability of each user in the process. The ever-growing pool of Internet of Things (IoT) devices poses not only new prospects and solutions as well new set of challenges for businesses in terms of security and privacy. The widespread adoption of these smart IoT-based solutions totally depends on the availability of platforms that ensure adequate sensor data integrity while ensuring adequate user privacy in organization. In light of these challenges, previous research suggests that the integration of IoT and blockchain technology is a good way to reduce data security problems arising in IoT. In this chapter, we have designed and developed a Real-Time Work Monitoring System for all RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consultant, and Information) levels involved in the cleaning and maintenance process of Public Toilets and Community Toilet Complex (CTC). Evaluation results indicate that the proposed design will ensure tamper-resistant collection, processing, and conversion of IoT sensor data into a safe, scalable, and efficient manner.
