Abstract

Dear David,I had a miserable week watching the stock market tumble like a pack of cards. I do get nervous whenever the stock market falls like that, even though I keep telling myself that if I ride through the storms, all will be well in the long run. Well, volatility is the name of the game in the stock market, and I’ll just have to live with these short-term hiccups. But I don’t lose sleep over what’s happening to the stock market because I diversify. Credit should go to the bonds that form part of my portfolio of investments. They may not be the sexiest investment, but stability is often what you need in stormy times. Bonds are good at providing stable returns…
