Abstract

To venture into the space of a cognitive enterprise, there is a requirement to understand what needs to be known within the enterprise structure and how intelligence and knowledge are represented in a digital form, which can uncover value in the strategic formulation process to improve the enterprise’s performance. The enterprise must go through a digital transformation with intelligence and knowledge at its core. The necessary components exist; however, more focus is required on integration to develop a holistic solution. This chapter presents research on how to integrate business components that create a cognitive foundation, which provides visibility and insights into a business enterprise’s performance to support its decision-makers.
