Abstract

This chapter further deepens the discussions and observations concerning holistic strategic management through the concept of “a holistic framework for strategic management” presented in Part I, the section of the book on theory, and case analyses presented in Part II, the section of the book on case studies. Previous chapters have discussed the importance of a holistic approach based on systems theory with respect to strategic management that adapts to the evolution of convergence in an era of advanced ICT.This chapter discusses the dynamic capabilities framework of Teece (2018) as a system from the viewpoint of systems theory and at the same time presents a framework for the “management of congruence” as a new concept. In addition, the chapter identifies “five capabilities elements” that execute dynamic strategic management and presents a framework for a strategic innovation system (SIS) that incorporates these five capabilities elements.
