Abstract

Enterprises of SME are the important part of economic development in every country1. It is shown in statistics, which describe their GDP and workforce absorbed. Those factors are called the driving force of economics. What is more, it appears a stratification connected with the level of economic development dependent on particular regions in Poland. On this account, it is significant to assess, how do SME enterprises function in different provinces. It turns out, that economics’ diversity influences the number of businesses working in particular regions and employee’s salary. Mazowieckie province leads the way in all respects instead of Œwiêtokrzyskie, Podkarpackie, Podlaskie and Lubelskie province, where the economic development and quality of enterprises functioning are really weak.
