Abstract

The data marketplace is not only for data trading, but it is also a place where the smartness of stakeholders meets the smartness of the data. Not only the data themselves as exchangeable resources, but also the analytical skills, the users’ requests, and the knowledge are traded among stakeholders toward innovations. In light of this, communication design in the market is important for leading data collaboration. In this chapter, we design the data marketplace as an innovation-driven environment for value exchange via data. Moreover, we give an overview of the history of the data marketplace, discuss the business conditions and environment surrounding recent data in the world through our survey, and identify the problems.
