Abstract

During a three-day program at an Adhyatmic or spiritual center in India, I observed that all the activities of the center were well organized and managed. The schedules were met, the services were timely, and the sewaks, or volunteers, not only served the participants meticulously but, more importantly, happily. The whole ambiance was filled with positive energy, and nobody seemed tired or depressed. I was wondering, what is so unique about this organization that it can easily surpass the standard of any professionally managed organization. Nevertheless, we underwent the three-day program which included yoga sessions, meditation, spiritual discourses, and visit to places in this center.
